It’s June … can you believe it? We’ve already gone through almost half of 2021 and time is flying by! We are enjoying our time in Montana. It’s great being here and avoiding the humidity in Georgia! The beginning of June is the official start of summer and it’s my husband, Ben’s, birthday in a few days! So, Happy Birthday to my Benny!
I’m sure I’ll drone on about him a bit in my upcoming Father’s Day blog post, but I have to give him a shoutout for his birthday, too!
Ben and I met in fall of 2011 at a singles event through our church. Funny thing is, we only went once and found each other and never went back! We were married six months later and that’s been over nine years now! I had no idea I’d know so quickly who was meant to be my husband, but God brought him into my life and gave me the peace knowing he was the one. He’s my best friend and I love doing life with him.
As you know, we’ve been blessed with three beautiful children and Ben is the best dad to them. He wants to be a part of every little thing in their lives and loves doing everything together as a family unit. He’s a godly example and leads us with God at the forefront of our lives.
Ben … we love you to the moon and back and then some more!
Since it’s Ben’s birthday, I thought we’d do a few different projects with the kids for him as a special surprise!
Sawyer’s Football Footprint
Sawyer had a cranial helmet that I designed as a Denver Broncos helmet and he’s built like a linebacker … so I thought a football footprint project would be fit perfectly!
First, I printed out the words on a plain piece of paper so all we’d have to do is add Sawyer’s football foot print. It turned out pretty cute!
Then, I painted brown on Sawyer’s foot and placed it on my printout. Once the brown footprint dried, I painted the football laces and lines with white and BAM … a cute, personalized birthday present for Ben!

Miles is hooked on daddy
Miles loves the Broncos too, but he also loves goldfish. So, to mix the two I decided on an orange fish in blue water to bring out the Broncos color in a personalized present for Ben.
Again, I first printed out the text “Hooked on Daddy” on a piece of paper along with the blue water and a hook. I traced Miles’s handprint on orange construction paper. Using a popsicle stick and a string for the fishing pole, I connected it to the hook and glued on the handprint. I had some googly eyes on hand, I so glue one of them on and then drew a mouth…super simple, but super adorable!

Harper loves daddy to the moon and back!
Of course, for Harper, we needed some pink in the present. I created a printout with a rocket ship and placed her picture in the window. I added some text about loving daddy to the moon and back and hers was done!

Giving Ben (daddy) his presents
We didn’t want to wait too long to give Ben his birthday gifts. With us heading to Montana, we wanted to give it to him before our trip. And the kids couldn’t wait to give them to him! Ben was so surprised and LOVED the personal touches on the gifts! Each one unique and personal!
Free printouts!
I’ve made all three of these available as a print out and they are frameable in an 8×10 frame! Go ahead and download your free copy of these for a daddy in your life. They work great for birthdays, Father’s Day or for any reason to show a daddy some extra love!
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday, Ben … hope this year is amazing and can’t wait to see what it holds. We are blessed with you!
